Terms & Conditions
We would be grateful if you would read through the terms
and conditions below. We have to have a formal contract but don’t want to make a
big deal of this and so we have tried to simplify all the parameters of these legalities
and used plain English. We will take great care of your dog while he/she is with us and hope that they
have a very enjoyable stay and will want to come back another time.
Conditions apply between Alison Crane and the Owner.
Alison
Crane's Undertaking
The charges will be agreed in advance, however there could be additional charges and payments due, such as vet’s
bills incurred by Alison Crane which have been for the benefit of the owner’s dog. In the unfortunate event that we
consider your dog should be seen by a vet, we will retain all receipts and communication from the veterinary practice to pass
on to you the owner.
We make every effort to contact the owner in the event of an emergency. We recommend owners provide us with a contact
number of a trusted third party should we be unable to make contact. However, we reserve the right to make decisions regarding
your dog's health provided it is at all times acting in the best interests of the dog and on the advice of a veterinary
surgeon. Our own Vets, Lake View Veterinary Centre will be who we deal with should we have too. The owner is responsible
for payment of any and all veterinary fees incurred by Alison Crane.
Fee’s to be paid in advance.
Dogs must be sociable with other dogs and children. We do not accept dogs with any signs
of aggression.
All dogs whilst being walked will remain on the lead unless a prior agreement has been reached with
the owner.
Alison
Crane cannot accept any liability for loss, injury or death of the owner’s dog.
Alison Crane will take every possible care of the owner’s
dog during their stay.
We reserve the right to decline or terminate a booking in any circumstance.
Alison
Crane cannot and will not be held responsible for injury caused to your dog which has been caused by the dog itself
or by being attacked by another dog or human.
Alison Crane cannot and will not be
held accountable or responsible for vet fees or any third party claims whilst your dog is in our care.
We
have full public liability (care custody and control) insurance.
Owners Undertaking
The
owner is to make full disclosure of any quality or characteristic problems which might make your dog not suitable for walking
or boarding including behavioural or health problems, antisocial behaviour including aggression, incontinence or
lack of house training, excessive loud barking or whining. Failure on the part of the owner to disclose any matter which might
render owner's dog unsuitable for walking or boarding will be deemed a material omission amounting to a fundamental breach
of our agreement.
The
owner shall confirm that the dog has not had at any time prior to the booking attacked
any human or animal. The
owner shall confirm that there are no facts or circumstances which should have been notified to Alison Crane which would have
affected her decision to accept the owner’s dog for boarding.
The owner agrees that Alison Crane may seek the assistance of a veterinary surgeon
and authorise him/her to give any treatment necessary. Any outstanding vets charges will be paid
when collecting their dog.
The owner
will indemnify Alison Crane against all costs, claims and damages arising from any act of the owner’s
dog whilst in the care of Alison Crane.
The owner is responsible for and will confirm that their dog is up to
date with their vaccinations, flea/tic and de-wormer treatments.
The owner accepts full liability for any loss,damage
and/or injury caused by their dog whilst been boarded and/or walked.
The Owner will pay
full replacement value of any property damaged by the owner’s dog, whilst in our care, through chewing, defecation
of furnishings etc. and to include other damage caused that is not necessarily
listed here.
Any breach by the owner of the terms and conditions could result
in the owners dog being placed in boarding kennels at the owners expense.
Legal Binding
This agreement between
Alison Crane and the owner is legally binding and any dispute arising could be subject to the jurisdiction of a court of law.
We agree to abide by the above agreement.
