These pages are purely for the information of friends, acquaintances and persons that
have already been put into contact with me through word and mouth and that wish to use me whilst I take charge of their 'best
friend' and my very important ward! These pages are not intended for marketing or any other purpose.
About
Hello
and welcome to me - Alison Crane. I live with my barking mad family which includes our very own VIP (Very Important
Paws)... Daisy Doodle the Labradoodle. My little hobby is running a doggie hotel exclusively for
the well behaved and happy dogs of my friends and acquaintances, this I call Dog’s Deserve a Holiday Too at Center
Barcs.
Location
This is set in our beautiful home in approx one acre of
gardens in a small village located on the Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire borders. We are surrounded by open
fields and countryside. So when you are not around for the day, night, weekend or even longer, your best friend can come here
and you can be assured that their routine will be kept consistent and that they are receiving the same love and affection
in our caring environment as if they were at home with you. I am the pack leader, chief dog walker and
wannabe trainer and my hubby is general poop scooper, ‘dogs
body’ and play mate for that well deserved barking mad ruff and tumble that they all like.
Home
from Home
I
am licenced with Huntingdonshire Council for up to four dogs, but generally I will only have one or two dogs staying
at any one time living with us in the house. They have the freedom they would do in their own home. Just like at their home,
your pooch will have plenty of individual attention and can wander around having loads of cuddles and happy wagging playtime.
In the winter months our guests like to cuddle up on the rug in front of the open fire in the sitting room for that well deserved, oh so needed forty winks. Our aim is to make our guests’
happy, content and stress free. Home from home indeed.
Walking
We walk for anything between ten minutes to three hours, dependant on your good
boy or girls make and model, age, fitness and of course the owner’s instructions. We do not need to go anywhere in the
car, as we are surrounded by fields and open countryside with plenty of footpaths and bridleway's, so the dogs can
have the freedom to run, sniff, chase bunny's and generally just enjoy the fresh air. We would mostly, for safety
and security, walk your K9 on lead, however if you wish and with your permission we will happily walk them off lead too. A
well exercised dog is a happy one.
Bedroom and Sleeping Arrangements
Our dog guests normally sleep at night in our utility and kitchen/garden room
area, which is warm, spacious with plenty of natural light and of course fresh water is available
at all times. Evening turndown, bedtime biscuit and goodnight kisses are inclusive along with 24hour room service. We ask
you to bring their own familiar and comfy bedding and crate if used, that way they can have their own sanctuary as if they
were at home. Daily housekeeping service including washing of bedding as required is included along with towels for rubbing
down after muddy walks.
Gardens and Leisure
We have around an acre of gardens for
your darling Lassie, Laddie, Goofy or Pluto to toilet in, partake in frisbee, playing fetch, running, maybe a game of football
or rugby or possibly just a leisurely roll around in the grass and a lay in the sunshine, watch
the world go by before wandering up to the greenhouse and veggie plot for a ‘paw’s for thought’ moment.
For those bad weather rainy days, we have plenty of inside play ‘boredom busters’, such as
squeaky toys, balls, chews, tugs and of course a daily complimentary copy of The Times newspaper is always
available (other newspapers available upon request) and there is no need to lose touch with your precious, as free Wi-Fi internet
access for the dogs to use is available at all times.
Meals and Feed
Breakfast is usually
served between 7am and 8am and Dinner is generally served between 6pm and 7pm (Puppy lunch and evening supper served if required). Meals are provided in the utility room, however if our guests prefer they have the option to dine al fresco
during the summer months. Fresh water supplied with meals free of charge.
We understand that dogs prefer to eat their same familiar quality food from
their same familiar receptacle at ‘ruffly’ the same time of day and so we ask you
to provide their own bowls and sufficient of their favourite food and treats along with instructions of how much and when.
Thank you for your interest.
